Before the first order.

The questions we discuss most often about order quantities, sampling, quality follow-up and certification.

What does Kenzi add to buying directly from a spinning mill?

Kenzi assesses your specification across the capabilities of several production partners, bringing mill selection, production follow-up, quality verification and shipment coordination together. The scope and controls are defined around the requirements of the order.

What is the minimum order quantity for yarn?

It depends on the count and fibre. Standard cotton and blended programmes typically start at container-load volume; sampling and development runs can be arranged at smaller quantities. Send your requirement and we’ll confirm what is realistic.

How do you handle yarn quality control?

Through scheduled production follow-up, laboratory testing against your tolerance, and pre-shipment inspection, with written and photographic reporting at each stage.

Can you supply yarn from our own mill relationship rather than your network?

Yes. Production follow-up, quality assurance and export coordination can be engaged independently of yarn sourcing, including with a mill you already work with.

Which certification and traceability programmes can you source against?

Depending on the project brief, we assess GOTS, GRS, OCS, RCS, OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, Better Cotton, SUPIMA®, GIZA Cotton, FSC® and EUROPEAN FLAX™ programmes. Eligibility and documentation are verified for the relevant mill, fibre and lot before commitment. These names do not represent certifications held by Kenzi.

Our approach to traceable sourcing
How long does yarn sampling and lead time take?

Initial mill matching typically takes one to two weeks. Sample development and production lead time depend on the count and volume — we confirm a realistic schedule once your specification is reviewed.

Which markets do you ship to?

We serve selected textile markets across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas. New destinations are assessed against project and logistics requirements.

What information is needed for a yarn quotation?

Fibre and blend ratio, yarn count, twist, spinning system, end use and approximate quantity are a useful starting point. Include any certification requirement, target price, delivery country and required date. We confirm availability, pricing and lead time after reviewing the brief.
